Dr Mazzo is the CEO of Aeterna Zentaris Inc and is formally the President and CEO of Chugai Pharma USA, a subsidiary of Chugai Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Japan) and part of the Roche group of companies. Dr Mazzo is recognized for his strong scientific and regulatory expertise with broad technical and managerial experience gained from working in a variety of multi-cultural and multi-lingual environments in the USA, Europe and Asia. Dr Mazzo has served as a member of the Nasal Drug Products subcommittee of the FDA Advisory Committee for Pharmaceutical Science and presently serves as an advisor to a number of academic and investment organisations.

Mr Willesee has broad experience in the company administration of ASX listed companies, corporate governance and corporate finance. Winton has a Master of Commerce, Post-Graduate Diploma in Business (Economics and Finance), a Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Business.  Winton is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Member of CPA Australia.  Winton is a Director of Newera Uranium Limited, Future Corporation Australia Limited, Boss Energy Limited and Hawk Resources Limited and has filled the role of Company Secretary with a number of listed and unlisted public companies.  He is currently also the Company Secretary of Newera Uranium Limited, Balkans Gold Limited, Boss Energy Limited, Mantle Mining Corporation Ltd and Hawk Resources Limited.

Heather Zampatti is the National Head of Wealth Management, Australia for Bell Potter Securities, an Australian-owned private investment adviser and top 10 broker by trading volume on the Australian Stock Exchange. Ms Zampatti has over 20 years experience in investment advising and her expertise in stockbroking and financial investment planning is widely acknowledged in the Australian investment community.

Dr Aston (PhD, BSc (Hons)was previously at Wellcome poc (now Glaxo Smith Kline) and has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. His previous positions have included CEO of Peptech Limited (Australia), Director of Cambridge Antibody Technology Limited (UK) and Chairman of Cambridge Drug Discovery Limited (UK). Dr Aston is presently the CEO of HalcyGen Pharmaceuticals Ltd and was also founder and CEO of Biokine Technology Ltd (UK) prior to its acquisition by the Peptech Group and co-founder of pSivida Ltd.

Ms Freedman is the former Vice President of Corporate Affairs, General Counsel, and Secretary of Control Delivery Systems and previously the Vice President, Business Development, and Counsel of Macromedia, Inc. Ms Freedman has also worked for Allaire as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, and for the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery.

Paul Ashton, Ph.D. was the President, CEO, and a director of Control Delivery Systems (CDS). Dr. Ashton is a cofounder of CDS, which was launched in 1991, and has served as a member of the board of directors since that time. Dr. Ashton became CEO in 1996. Before cofounding CDS, Dr. Ashton was a visiting professor of ophthalmology at the University of Kentucky. Prior to this, he worked at Hoffman-LaRoche, and also served on the faculty of Tufts University for four years. Dr. Ashton received a B.Sc in chemistry from Durham University, England, and a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science from the University of Wales.

Mr Ferguson is a highly experienced product development professional with more than 25 years experience developing and launching products in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. He has held a number of senior roles in research and development with companies such as Murex Medical Research, Serono Diagnostics, MediSense Inc (an Abbot Laboratories company) and Celsis International. Mr Ferguson is an associate member of the Product Development and Management Association and holds a Masters degree from Brunel University, London and a Bachelors from the University of Glasgow.

Mr. Nazzaro is the former Director of Manufacturing for Control Delivery Systems. Mr. Nazzaro has over 19 years of product life cycle and operations experience. Mr. Nazzaro previously worked for Boston Scientific Corporation holding responsibilities in logistics, R&D, manufacturing and distribution. Most recently, Mr. Nazzaro was responsible for distribution of cardiac care devices for Boston Scientific Corporation. Mr. Nazzaro holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Suffolk University in Boston, MA

Mr Rogers is the Executive Vice-President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Indevus Pharmaceuticals Incorporated, a biopharmaceutical company based in Lexington, MA. Mr Rogers brings his significant financing, acquisition, investment banking, and partnering experience relating to pharma and biotech companies to the pSivida Board. Mr Rogers also Chairs the pSivida Audit Committee and is the “financial expert” on the Board.

Dr Katherine Woodthorpe based in Sydney, Australia is currently the Chief Executive of AVCAL, the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. Dr Woodthorpe has more than 25 years in the technology and commercialization industry with an extensive background as a management adviser and director of listed companies.

Mr Soja is the former Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Control Delivery Systems and previously the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of XTRA Corporation. Mr Soja brings over 30 years experience in senior financial roles to the senior management team at pSivida.

Mr Leedman is a marketing and communications specialist with more than 10 years experience at Westpac Banking Corporation and Ernst & Young.  As the former Group Marketing Manager of Ernst & Young in Perth, Mr Leedman was responsible for building industry relationships, public relations and brand management.  Mr Leedman is a Board Member of the Australia Israel Chamber of Commerce and The Perth City Heritage Appeal where he is also Chair of the Fundraising Committee. Mr Leedman holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Australia.

Peter Savas is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alseres Pharmaceuticals, Inc. a NASDAQ listed (ALSE) biotechnology company based in Hopkinton, MA. engaged in the clinical development of biopharmaceutical products for the diagnosis of degenerative neurological diseases and the treatment of acute spinal cord injury. Mr. Savas has served as Chairman and CEO of Alseres since September 2004. Prior to joining Alseres, Mr. Savas was Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Aderis Pharmaceuticals where he completed a US $45 million private placement and revitalized the company’s relationships with it corporate partners. Aderis was sold to one of its corporate partners in 2004. Mr. Savas was also Chairman, President and CEO of Unisyn Technologies, a company he repositioned, refinanced and subsequently sold to Cellex Biosciences in 2000. Mr. Savas has a BA in chemistry from Syracuse University.

Paul Hopper is the founder and lead Director of Polynoma LLC and also a Director of ASX listed Somnomed Limited (SOM) which globally manufactures and markets a dental device for sleep disorders. Mr. Hopper was previously the Executive Chairman of ASX listed Bone Medical Limited (BNE), Cell Aquaculture Limited (CAQ) and Managing Director of Australian Cancer Technology Limited (ACU), which was rated by CitiGroup as one of the best performing biotechs in the Australian index in 2004, achieving a 500% increase in market cap under his leadership. Mr Hopper holds a degree in Political Science from The University of New South Wales (B.A.) and a Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia (A.S.I.A.). Mr Hopper is an Australian citizen based in Los Angeles, California.
